Turns out it is easy and very fast to get a birth certificate in SF.
For anyone who needs to know, here’s what you do:
Print out the application at:
http://www.sfdph.org/dphvital/dphvital.htm
Then take it to:
Department of Public Health
Birth Registry
101 Grove Street, Room 105
San Francisco, CA, 94102
They take checks, VISA and Mastercard. And it’s approx. $14 copy.
